▶ IPR Forum, widely known as a private KOTRA and an exhibition WAL-MART in Korea, has been very active this week in carrying out a wide range of business activities:
◎ International Exhibitions and Expositions ▶ CeBIT 2010CeBIT 2010, the world's largest trade fair on information and communication technology, will be held in Hannover, Germany on March 2-6, 2010. IPR Forum, Korea representative of the fair organizer is now selling admission ticket in advance in order to facilitate the participation of exhibitors and visitors. The exhibition where 4,300 exhibitors from 69 countries and 363,000 buyers from all over the world attend will display the whole spectrum of ICT products including digital equipments and systems, financial systems, software, computer and peripheral equipments, office automation technology and equipments and all kinds of products related with information and communication industry. In particular, Cebit 2010 will highlight on Connected Life, Green IT, Mobility and Webciety, presenting new paradigm for future industry trend.
▶ Medtrade Spring 2010Medtrade Spring, the largest home medical and healthcare fair in the United States, will be held in Las Vegas on May 12-13, 2010, in which a wide variety of health-related products including personal and home medical equipments, diagnosis equipments, physical rehabilitation machines, other equipments for hospital and pharmacy, etc. will be exhibited. With the official slogan, "Medtrade connects the HME(Home Medical Equipment) industry", the fair has become a solid professional trade fair in close association with American homecare association ( AA Homecare ) and HME News. The fair also provides an on-line market ( Medtrade Marketsource ) where suppliers can have the opportunity to meet buyers by listing their products free of charge for one year.
▶ DOMOTEX Middle East 2010DOMOTEX Middle East, a floor material fair organized by Deutsche Messe, will take place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center on May 10-12, 2010. Visitors can see all kinds of floor materials and technology in one place, not only from Middle East but from all over the world, and R+T Middle East, another fair on door, shutter and rolling door will be held in parallel, attracting interest of market leaders from 2010. Since Dubai has emerged as central hub of business and trade in the Middle East, fair participants will be able to have more effective business meetings with dealers and distributors from around the world.
▶ Investment & Trade Forum for Co-operation between East & West China 2010 "Investment & Trade Forum for Co-operation between East & West China", a large scale trade fair to be held in the center of the great development project of west China, will be held in Xian on April 8-12, 2010 under the organization of the people's government of Shanxi Province and with the endorsement of HKTDC, Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, Macao Chamber of Commerce and 30 provinces and cities in China. Since the successful inauguration of the fair in 1997, the cumulative amounts of business transactions during the past 13 years have exceeded 1,564 in number of deals, U$ 29.2 billion in investment and U$ 32.3 billion in trade respectively. The city of Xian particularly, as the starting point of the traditional silk road and as the axis of development project of west China, has the comparative advantages for foreign investors contemplating Chinese market and central Asia.
▶ China International Consumer Goods Fair 2010 China International Consumer Goods Fair will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on April 25-28, 2010, exhibiting all kinds of consumer goods and market trend. Korean companies eyeing China market will be able to gather useful information from the fair in drawing their access strategies into China.
▶ IFAT CHINA+EPTEE2010 IFAT CHINA+EPTEE, the largest international trade fair on environmental protection in China, will be held on May 5, 2010, which is the best marketing forum for all professionals to share the innovative technology and information. IFAT China, one of serial fairs of IFAT organized by Muenchen Messe, will also take place at the same time, enabling visitors to make reciprocal visits to two fairs. Korea pavilion will be built jointly by Environment Protection Association and other related institutes, and 7 countries like Germany, U.S.A., Japan, France, Italy, Taiwan, Canada will establish country pavilions.
▶ China Factory & Process Automation Fair 2010 China Factory & Process Automation Fair will be held at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing on May 12-15, 2010. The fair that has successfully been held during the past 13 years under the organization of China Machinery & Electricity Technology Application Association and is recognized as one of most influential and professional fairs in the industry will be grafted with Deutsche Messe in 2010 for overhauling and restructuring in order to better serve the customers and to heighten its reputation.
▶ Hong Kong Fashion Week FW 2010Hong Kong Fashion Week FW has been held on January 18-21, 2010, in which Korean designers of next generation have joined and unveiled many characteristic works of design, attracting interests of buyers and spearheading fashion trend in the market. We wish that Korean new designers will continue to flourish in Hong Kong, paving the way toward trade promotion between the two countries.
◎ Trade mission/conference/seminar ▶ MIDEM 2010Korean pop music, the mainstay of Korean cultural wave, may fan out further to North America and Europe from January 2010, thanks to the world's music festival, MIDEM, in Cannes, France. IPR Forum that is responsible for country pavilion and showcase is now staging the last-minute campaign for the publicity of the music fair where 17 Korean companies in music and entertainment industry including SM Entertainment, Map the Soul, Kang & Music will participate, led by Korea Contents Promotion Center. During the fair period, Epic High, male vocal group and FX, female dance group will show their enthusiastic performance on the showcase stage, revealing Korean singers?artistic talent. MIDEM is the world’s largest music industry trade fair, bringing together musicians, businessmen, cultural policy makers and journalists from many countries around the world and providing a platform for business talks, discussing political and legal issues, and showcasing new artistic, musical trend and music-related products.
