5 Asian Fair Organizers Reinforce Mutual Cooperation
at Meeting in Jeju
Benjamin Chau, director of exhibitions of HKTDC has attended the conference held at Jeju island on June 28, 2010, in which representatives of five nations—Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong—gathered together to discuss about possible ways to enliven electronics fairs held in October, every year in those countries as to compete with CES in America and IFA in Europe.
They agreed upon mutual cooperation in the future, with maximum utilization of exhibition resources through publicity and media barter schemes at the initial stage.
Publicity barter contains bilateral exchange of publicity booth, catalogue and web banner advertisement while media barter includes joint press conferences at the famous exhibitions and publicity of five electronics fairs through international media.
Next conference is to be held in Hong Kong where each representative of five countries will bring their media partner so that the agreed plan can be put into effect immediately.
It has been mentioned that Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn) has surpassed CES, Las Vegas for the first time in terms of visitor number.
