Taiwan Fair Organizer Taps IPR as Sales

Representative in Korea

IPR has recently signed agency agreement with Expo Union Corporation in Taiwan that is the organizer of Taiwan International Green Industry Fair and partner company of TAITRA, the government organization responsible for export promotion and international marketing.

As the Taiwanese government pledged to support environment industry, earmarking U$ 5.4 trillion for clean energy, U$ 1.6 trillion for green technology and U$ 1.9 trillion for water treatment in national budget, it is expected that the environment industry will continue to develop in the years to come.

As a result of such strong support of Taiwanese government, a professional environment fair has been born in 2009 for the first time in Taiwan where 150 exhibitors and 9,500 buyers have attended in three themed pavilions—clean energy, green technology and water treatment.

ECFA, an economic cooperation agreement between the Mainland China and Taiwan that will go into effect as from January, 2011 will certainly transform the country into another important gateway toward China as CEPA agreement did to Hong Kong years ago.

Along with political stability, the recent reduction of corporate income tax and the entrepreneurship of Taiwanese people, Taiwan is bound to have much better business environment in the near future. Korean companies, therefore, would better take another look at the country in connection with their business with China.
