A trade mission co-organized by Jeonbuk Technopark, Jeonbuk SME Support Center and Jeonbuk Trade Association had sales meetings with local buyers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on June 18-23, 2007. 9 Korean companies located in Jeonbuk province have shown their products ranging from aluminum products, sewage disposal apparatus, special equipment vehicle, cosmetics, plasma panel printer, kitchen utensils, to jewelry to Vietnamese buyers and signed sales agreement amounting U$ 3,300,000. Some follow-up meetings ensued on individual basis even after the official sales meetings ended, reflecting Vietnamese interest in Korean products. "This mission has proved that Vietnam has the high potential as export market for Korean products, and we would continue to participate in future events" said Mr. K.H.Yang, president of Seki Trade Co., that has developed sewage disposal apparatus.
